- paper recycling
news papers – catalogs – junk mail – office paper - recycling plastic containers
water bottles – plastic milk bottles - recycling metal
aluminum cans – metal cans – vegetable cans
Remember to recycle green products. Curbside pickup by Waste Management includes yard trimmings.
* Notes From KeepPearlandBeautiful.org
To participate, residents should place grass, leaves, flowers, stalks, stems and trimmings in a translucent (semi clear) bag at curbside on their collection day. The weight of the bag should not exceed 35 pounds. Tree limbs and branches should be cut no longer than five feet in length and tied in bundles no larger than 18 inches in diameter and no heavier than 50 pounds. For a list of local vendors carrying clear plastic bags, call KPB at 281-652-1659.
Clear recycling bags for yard trimmings have been found at Home Depot, Lowe’s and Walmart. They are often not found in the store with normal household trash bags. When available, Home Depot and Lowe’s may have them near the paint section with ‘contractor’s bags’.
